Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 July 2026

The service

OilLog is an Electronic Oil Record Book application provided by DYG (Greece) to support MARPOL Annex I compliance. These terms govern your use of the service.

Accounts and responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information entered into the system, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for the activity of users you invite to your organisation. The Master remains responsible for the accuracy of the Oil Record Book as required by MARPOL.

Free trial and fees

New accounts include a six-month free trial with no credit card required. After the trial, continued use is subject to the then-current per-vessel subscription fee. Fees, invoicing details and payment terms will be communicated in advance of any charge.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the service to record false or misleading entries.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
  • Do not use the service in violation of applicable maritime, environmental, or data-protection laws.

Data and record ownership

You retain full ownership of the record-book data you enter into the service. DYG processes it only to provide and support the service, and will make it available for export in a machine-readable format on reasonable request.

Availability

We aim to keep the cloud service continuously available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. OilLog is designed to keep operating on board without an internet connection so that record-keeping is never blocked by connectivity issues.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DYG's total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the fees paid by you for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. DYG is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any dispute arising under these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Greece.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to account administrators by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
